The Invisible Covering
 

We are today living in a world where unexpected things can crop up at any time.
The Bible says that a “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished” (Proverbs 22:3)
God expect us to be prudent not simple
The world itself advises us that “Prevention is better than cure”.

Prudent people are wise because they are able to foresee the evil.
What does it mean to foresee evil?

In John 10:10 Jesus talks about a thief.
He reveals that the thief cometh.
He comes to steal, kill and destroy.
All the above acts result in decrease, pain, misery, suffering, worry, tension and fear.
All the above acts are not liked by anyone.
No one desire that such things should happen to them.
But though we do not desire it , the reality is that since Jesus has said these words, we should take them seriously and not lightly.

If Jesus has spoken it there must be a reason.
In the book of Exodus we find an interesting incident that will reveal to us the importance of taking the word of God seriously.
Exodus 9:18-21
Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now. [19] Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die. [20] He that feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses: [21] And he that regarded not the word of the Lord left his servants and his cattle in the field.

The bible says “Exodus 9:20 - He that feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses: [21] And he that regarded not the word of the Lord left his servants and his cattle in the field”

Today if we fear the word of the Lord we will take it seriously.
When Jesus says that the thief cometh to steal, kill and destroy he means it.
The question is to who is he coming.
He is coming to all.
Therefore what is our Job?
Our job is to foresee this evil and do something to cover ourselves with a protective wall.

Only when we have covered ourselves with the protective wall are we safe.

Today many families are going through confusion, misunderstanding, pain and suffering because they did not bother to cover themselves with this invisible protective wall.

What is the protective wall?

It is known as the TRUTH OF GOD.
It is the truth that can protect us and keep us safe.
Therefore it is our job to go all out and understand the truth.
After understanding meditate on it till the truth becomes a part of you.
